An aPEELing start
Pink Lemon first met with Amanda from Expectancy Scanning Studios in January 2017, in order to discuss her company’s branding.
At the time Amanda was working as a mid-wife for the NHS, but she had a big dream: to create a baby scanning clinic, situated in the heart of Kent, where expectant mothers could book scans at various stages of pregnancy.
These scans would include some not currently available on the NHS, and all of them were to take place in a beautifully decorated, clean and calming environment. Amanda also wanted to offer non-invasive testing to help mummy’s-to-be feel safe and prepared for their new arrival.
The JUICY details
Amanda’s main priority was that the clinic, and therefore her branding, should feel warm, homely, inviting and nurturing, but should also look contemporary and chic.
She was off to a great start as she recognised that the branding needed to be consistent across a business, and that it should reflect the owner’s personal ethos, but she wasn’t sure how to set things in motion in terms of the design, so was eager for Pink Lemon to lend a hand.
We first met with Amanda for an initial free consultation, which was followed by a Brand Discovery Workshop, to allow both designer and client to really get to grips with the business and its vision.
We researched the Studio’s target audience and its competitors thoroughly in order to gain a full understanding of what Amanda needed to achieve to make the business a success. We then created a mood board to reflect the feel and style of the brand.
Once Amanda had seen the mood board, and had agreed that it fitted with her own ideas, we were able to design a logo, and finalise brand colours, image styling and font selection.
We also created marketing collateral, along with the website, so that Amanda had everything she could possibly need to market her new business and bring her vision to life.
A FRUITFUL outcome
The project took around three months in total and, because everything had been designed with the audience, and Amanda’s vision in mind; Expectancy Scanning Studios got off to a terrific start.
Two years later and Amanda’s business is going from strength to strength. She is continuing to attract her ideal customers through the brand messaging and strategy that was put in place from the very beginning.
In March 2019, Amanda was the proud recipient of a Kent Women In Business Runner’s Up Award.
She has also won an ibak Award for Service of Excellence due to the level of service and care she provides her clients.
Expectancy Scanning Studios continues to work with Pink Lemon, since that very first meeting in 2017.
